Man’s Best Friend Safety Tips

We want to make sure everyone is having fun, including Fido. Check out some of the tips below to learn how you can ensure to have a safe and enjoyable time at Dog Days.

Can your pup handle the canine chaos?

Dog Days can bring in over 7,000 attendees in one day, plus their pups. Ask yourself, “Do they do well with crowds? Are they well mannered and won’t be keen to jump on folks? Will they get along in the pack of pups?”

Make sure their tags are up to date

Not only should your fur baby be up to date on all their shots, make sure their tags have the correct contact information. In the case they get away from you, even when leashed, we want to ensure they get back to you as quickly as possible.

Provide Potty Breaks

There will be lots of foot traffic so be aware when and where your dog does their doo. Plus make sure you’ve got lots of bags to pick up their poo.

Keep your Eye on the Prize

Whether you’re at the V.I.Paw experience or strolling Dog Days, make sure you keep an eye on your pup. Since Dog Days is a leashed event, all dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6′ in length.

Pack for Comfort

We will have cooling stations and water for pups. But it’s always a good idea to bring a portable bowl and water for their use. Plus consider bringing a blanket or towel for them to relax on while you enjoy the entertaining competitions or educational presenters.

Bark in the Park

Hopefully, you’re now inspired and ready to bark in the park. We look forward to seeing you at Quakertown Park on September 11, 2021 and helping us raise dollars for the North Lakes Dog Park. With your help, we’ll be one step closer to keeping cool and having more shade for pups and people!
